I'm new to the Bible
Start with Mark, the shortest Gospel. It moves fast.
Who is this man, and why do people drop everything to follow him?
Read Mark 1
The Bible is a page turner.
Go read it for yourself.
You don't need to know where every book is. You don't need church language. You don't have to pretend you've been reading all along.
Start where you are.
Real questions. Real people. Real Scripture.
People have built arguments, identities, and even wounds around what they think the Bible says. God's Family Story exists to make it easier to open the book yourself, understand what you're looking at, ask honest questions, and keep reading, without handing your thinking over to anyone. Including us.
And when you do read it, you'll find people who struggled just like you. They waited, doubted, ran, failed, grieved, and came back. It's God's family story, and there's room for you in it.
Our hope: one million people opening the Bible for themselves.
Not a million followers or a million views. A million people who open Scripture, many for the first time, and keep coming back to it, whether they're growing, walking, or resting with God.
Pick the one that sounds like you. Each points to a real chapter. Open your own Bible, or read it free online in the King James Version.

Micii Ray didn't set out to be anybody's minister. She just kept reading, and kept noticing things: how the people are connected, how many of them failed and came back, the lines that stop you cold. At some point she couldn't keep it to herself.
God's Family Story is her way of pointing at the page and saying, “Look at this. Now go read the whole thing for yourself.” She'll ask questions with you, tell you when something is hard, and keep sending you back to the text.
The authority belongs to Scripture.
I'm just passing along the invitation.— Micii
You don't need any of this to begin. A Bible is enough. But if something here makes it easier to understand, easier to stay with, or easier to share, we made it for you. Every one of them points back to the same place: your Bible.
